Have you ever planned a family trip with great care, only to find your teenager unimpressed and disconnected? Do you feel that even when traveling to exotic locales, you're merely a spectator, never truly connecting with the local people or culture?
你是否发觉每次自己精心策划和筹备的旅程，对你青春期的孩子来说并没有太大的吸引力？你是否也觉得，孩子甚至在海外旅行时，也仅仅走马观花，却完全没有对当地文化和民俗风情的好奇和切实感悟？
Traditional tourism often falls short for young minds. Scenery alone rarely captivates them, leading to a passive experience where they simply follow their parents from one site to the next. Furthermore, traveling solely with familiar companions in a "bubble" does little to broaden their horizons or challenge their perspectives.

That's why we designed a cultural exchange program specifically for American teens that moves beyond sightseeing and into the heart of meaningful interaction.

Our program brings American students to China not as tourists, but as participants. They will engage in shared, hands-on activities with their local Chinese peers—from collaborating on sports and art projects to building models, hiking, and performances. It is through these shared passions that curiosity is sparked, barriers are broken, and authentic friendships are formed. Without even realizing it, they learn from one another, gaining invaluable insights into each other's lives and cultures.

Tengchong is the ultimate retreat for immersion in nature, with its 73.3% forest cover and air abundant in revitalizing negative oxygen ions. That is why we have dedicated four full days to embracing its serene beauty.

Dongshan Grassland: Walk a rainbow boardwalk through endless meadows and seasonal lakes. Where will the sight of grazing herds take your mind?
Gaoligong Mountains: The Gaoligong Mountains are honored by UNESCO as a "World Biosphere Reserve"—a living library in two volumes for all of humanity. Our exploration squad will get a unique peek into a university dance class for ethnic minority students at the first comprehensive university for minorities founded after New China. They might even find themselves swept into the joyful circle of a Tibetan Guozhuang dance!

Participant Requirements/报名要求
Ages 12-15：Participants must be at least 12 years old by June 15, 2026.
Communication skills are required. Interested in a Chinese-English language exchange.
For safety, all participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Our San Diego's local partner Hong Wu Golden Dragon Academy will organize students and families to depart from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in the United States. (Participants from other regions in the U.S. must contact us in advance via our Contact page.)
In good physical and mental health to participate in moderate activities.
Must agree to and abide by the program's Code of Conduct.
All participating adults and students must sign the waiver linked at the bottom of the form for their registration to be valid.

To ensure a safe and rewarding experience for everyone, the accompanying adult must meet the following criteria:

Role & Responsibility: The chaperone is primarily responsible for the safety, well-being, and conduct of their own child throughout the program.
Health & Fitness: Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of participating in moderate activities (e.g., walking tours, light hikes) and managing their own luggage.
Supervision: Must actively supervise their child and adhere to all program schedules and safety guidelines.
Cooperation: Expected to cooperate with the program directors and other chaperones to foster a positive group environment.

Step 1: Fill the Form
Please fill out the following form carefully to ensure we have the correct information to provide your child with the safest and most rewarding experience.
Refund & Transfer Policy
To ensure the highest quality experience, we strictly maintain a small group size. As such, we must make significant non-refundable commitments to our local partners well in advance. This policy is designed to protect both your investment and our operational viability.
1. Spot Confirmation & Full Refund Guarantee
Due to our first-come, first-served enrollment and immediate payment process, your spot is only confirmed upon both successful payment AND our receipt of your completed application form.
Confirmation Timeline: We will notify you via email within two business days of receiving your application to confirm whether your spot has been successfully secured.
Full Refund Guarantee: If the program is already full upon our receipt of your application, you will receive a full 100% refund (including any processing fees) within 10 business days.
2. Refund & Credit Schedule
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]
On or before March 10, 2025:
Full Refund: Receive a full refund, minus a $200 processing fee.
Future Credit: Alternatively, receive 100% of the paid fees as a transferable credit for any future Yarrow Court program, valid for three years.
Between March 11, 2025, and April 10, 2025:
No cash refund is available.
Future Credit: Receive 75% of the paid fees as a transferable credit for any future Yarrow Court program, valid for two years.
On or after April 11, 2025:
No cash refund is available.
Future Credit: Receive 50% of the paid fees as a transferable credit for any future Yarrow Court program, valid for two years.
3. Spot Transfer Option
At any time before May 1, 2025, you may transfer your spot to another eligible participant who meets all program requirements, subject to our approval. This provides maximum flexibility if your plans change.
4. Important Exceptions

Spot Transfer for Maximum Flexibility: We encourage you to find a replacement if your plans change! To ensure a smooth transition and maintain our group composition, student spots can only be transferred to another student within the same age cohort (i.e., a spot requiring a chaperone must be transferred to a student who also requires one).
PayPal Installment Plan: Please note that the PayPal Installment Plan is not eligible for cash refunds due to its third-party nature. The above credit policy still applies.
Force Majeure: Should the program be canceled by Yarrow Court due to unforeseen force majeure events (e.g., major natural disasters, government travel prohibitions), participants will receive a full credit for a future program or a refund minus all non-recoverable costs already incurred.
